With the advent of multi-media into practically every home, is it any wonder that today's children are not drawn to reading books - in particular, textbooks? What could a book have that would WANT a child - a lively bundle of energy, to settle down quietly and READ?
It is this reality that led us to create our series 'HOOK, LINE and THINKER'. The Science set of textbooks in this series are beautifully laid-out, fabulously illustrated, arouse a child's curiosity, encourage group work and lots of discussion.
Truly, they 'hook' a child into reading, exploring and discovering, thus putting them on the path to becoming independent learners for life.
We are in the process of generating more textbooks. The following textbooks are currently available with us:
1. 'HOOK, LINE and THINKER' — Science: Grades II - V
2. 'HOOK, LINE and THINKER' — English: Grades K.G. - V
3. Disha — Hindi textbooks: Available for KG, and Classes 2-5
4. Healthline — a comprehensive middle-school Life Skills book
The test of a successful education is not the amount of knowledge that a student takes away from a school, but the appetite to know and the capacity to learn. If a school sends out students with a desire for knowledge and some idea of how to acquire and use it, it will have done its work. Too many students leave school with the appetite killed and the mind loaded with undigested lumps of information.
