  • Teaching Approaches to the NCERT curriculum:
    In 2006, the NCERT introduced new textbooks for classes 6, 9 and 11 as well as 1-3 in some subject areas. In 2007, books for classes 7, 10 and 12 will be introduced. These textbooks promote a new role for classroom teachers. Writers of the textbooks for specific subjects will run workshops on how to best approach the new textbooks to promote student learning and ensure success. (This is not available as an in-school programme)

Assessment for learning is the process of seeking and interpreting evidence for use by learners and their teachers to decide where the learners are in their learning, where they need to go next, and how best to get them there. A variety of assessment types will be discussed and practiced by the teachers in this workshop.
